For this concert, Folkestone Symphony Orchestra was joined by the FESIC Choir conducted by Helen Brooks and the Folkestone Young Strings conducted by Floriane Peycelon. The orchestra played two movements from the Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky, 'Sleigh Ride' by Leroy Anderson and music from the film 'Superman'. We also played 'An Overture on old English Carols' by John Whittaker, who came along to hear us. The choir joined us in a rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas which was arranged by Peter Aviss, one of the orchestra's Viola players. |
