Folkestone Symphony Open Workshop, Saturday 9th May 2026, 10.30am-12 Noon, Folkestone Baptist Church

As part of the Folkestone Town 'Music in May' Festival, Folkestone Symphony are hosting an open workshop for instrumentalists to come and have the experience of what it is like to play in a Symphony Orchestra.  So, please write into office@folkestonesymphony.org if you wish to register for this event which will be held at Folkestone Baptist Church (CT19 6LY) on Saturday 9th May starting at 10.30 am.  The two pieces to be worked upon at this workshop are Finlandia by Sibelius and Steppes of Central Asia by Borodin.   All we ask is that instrumentalists register in the first instance, come along on the day and play.  The event is free of charge but it would be very much appreciated if those who play would be kind enough to give a donation at the end of the workshop to help us cover our costs.
